Would anyone be willing enough to give a DETAILED description as to how you can transfer MP3 files (to listen to and for ringtones), Midi files, etc. to the phone AND get them to be recognized by the file system for use? It would be appreciated.

I've used the t-flash card to transfer songs and pics to/from the phone.

1. Load t-flash into the SD card adapter
2. Connect the SD card (with t-flash) to your PC (i.e. via a SD card slot on your PC or SD Card USB reader...or something similar)
3. Once your PC recognizes the t-flash, you should be able to drag and drop files to is like you would anything other type of removable drive.
4. After the files have been placed on the card...you can disconnect it and place the t-flash card back into your phone.

On the phone, go to Menu > Media Gallery > Sound and look for your songs. You may need to hit Menu again once you're in the Sound and select "Switch to Storage Device" before you see your songs.

Yes, you can create playlists. When you're in the sound area, there is an option called "New Playlist". You can give the playlist a name and select songs to put in the playlist.

I just copied them over to the card with the card reader then popped it into the phone. go to media whatever then sounds then hit the center menu button then scroll down to select memory device or whatever. the files will then come up. listen to them or whatever then when you choose one to use as a ring tone play it, then hit the center menu button and choose to copy it to the phones memory. (warning pretty slow) then go back to the sounds list and hit the center menu button and switch back to the phone's memory the mp3 Will be there. play it then hit center menu button and select convert to ringtone or whatever. then you can now use it as a ring tone. I don't actually have the phone, but I have played with my friend's phone. it wasn't tha...

to make songs ring tones this is how i did it.
1) i used itunes (free download by the way) and cut the song into about a 30 to 40 sec clip at 96kbs ( small enough tnot to take up to much room. in the pref u can set the quality of the mp3)

When the song is highlighted in itunes hit ctrl + i and one of the tabs will have a start stop area. just put the time of the clip u want in there.

then under edit hit convert to mp3. a new song will apear in the list. drag it to the desk top

2) rename so it ends in .mid

3)drag to yor flash card

4) put the card back into the phone

5) move the files from card to phone

6) go to phone book, edit, ringtone

all my friends have their own song

hope this helps

THANKS! do you know if it possibe to perform this without the use of the tf card (still waiting for mines to come), like sending this as an attachment to [email protected]. i have tried but the attachment never shows up. Any help would be appreciated, as vz tech has no clue (they just encourage the use of their get it now feature)
