Motorola V710
Camera is a freaking mess
The camera is absolutely the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen.. I took 30 pictures today/tonight at an outdoor concert at dusk and they are unusable..
I brought my Samsung A670 and took some with that and they are 10000 times better and visible..
This V710 is pissing me off.. At this price and all this time waiting, they really should have done better than this..
The Low Volume earpiece and the Camera problems and the huge size are making this to be a piece of dirt.
Motorola will fail again with this junk.
I am amazed at how people are getting psyched to buy this thing when half the features stink but they did it with the 720 also. We need to wake up and buy something else..

Well that's just your opinion, your one of the few ppl who hate this phone. One guy even said the vx7000 is better than the v710. And i'm sure lots of the problems can be fixed with S/W upgrades. But there's no use coming to this board and complaining, we can't do anything about your unhappiness.

Don't make excuses for this piece of poop..
The phone is plastic junk with a back cover that is the worst design ever. Try and take the cover off the change the battery without hurting your fingers - Cmon give me a break.
The camera is terrible. The Samsung Cam is 100 times nicer and so is the LG but the LG has no reception which makes the 7000 a worse piece of poop. At least the moto makes decent calls.. Although tonight at the Jersey Shore it decided to go into Analog mode and not come out.. Remember this from the 720 ??? NIghtmare..

Yes! People seem to be in denial! I think it's because they've waited sooo long for this phone that they don't want top believe that some features don't live up to the hype!

Yes! The back cover was a pain in the ass for me to take off, I was afraid I was going to break it since one side was easy to release and the other was stuck.

I wouldn't say that the LG VX7000 is a better OVERALL phone, but I would say the the camera on the LG VX7000 seems to produce better quality images...I had the LG VX7000 for 2 weeks and returned it to try out the V710, which I'm going to stick with, regardless whether the pictures were better on the VX7000...

well guys... with all the hype and waiting so long for this phone, I'm not too thrilled from what I've been reading here..
I don't think we will be getting a product worth the money. And I know some people are saying the camera isn't that important, but it is part of the phone. If a previous phone has a better picture quality then we are being sold short. We do need to wakeup and demand better products for our hard earned money.

Most the ppl that are unhappy with the v710 are unhappy mainly cuz of 2 reasons: The bluetooth and/or the camera. Even though the camera is part of the phone it's a phone first and camera second. If you want a good camera just buy a digital. And the pictures i've seen are amazing, for a PHONE, except indoors.

But from what I have read here, there is no complaints about the indoor pics on the V600. Why shouldn't it be at least as good as the V600? And when it's advertised, they don't call it a phone. It's a Camera phone. One of the bigger selling points. Just look at the short Movie they sent to all of us.

Yeah, i think it's the flash. Cuz in dark places the pics turn out really bad. But, the pics are good for a phone, in the right lighting.

Just read Motorola's V710 page. Then go to Features. I think the phone does not live up to all the hype they gave it. When they say "The Motorola V710 isn’t just a camera phone, it’s a camera phone with the same high standards of a stand-alone digital camera." I think it should live up to it. That's all I'm saying for the money we have to pay for it. I'm tired of people being happy with sub standard products. Just read it and tell me if I'm wrong.... Thanks

Oh, i never saw that. Yeah this phone surely doesn't meet those standards, and i don't think any phone so far has (in the U.S at least.) Anyway, i'm gonna try out the v710 and see if i like it. 😁
