If you upgraded you never stood a chance.
I have reread the rules of the promotion on the v710 conducted by Motorola.
It says quite clearly: "New customers only. Customers with previous accounts (retuning customers), or existing customers are not eligible."
It also says something I am sure we are all familiar with:
"Void where prohibited by law." and "At participating retailers."
PARTICIPATING--Verizon simply was not a participating retailer.
Last week there were several early adopters who, even though, they had Verizon accounts they had to have this phone.

I just re read the rules, no where in the registration does it say that this promo is for new customers only. Don't bs. FYI, if you did buy it from rs, all you had to do is call up vz and tell them that you are doing that and my cs rep was more than willing to give me the credit of 100 (NE2) if i provided a receipt to them.

Hey, I bought mine from RS on 7/30. I did call VZW prior to purchasing and the told me now way on the $100. unless you waited and bought it from a VZW store. What up with that? If he was BS'n me just to get me to wait and by it from a VZW store, heads will roll!!! 👿

Simple way to find out for your self.
If you were told you would get a $100 credit on your account by Radio Shack. Call Verizon. Have them pull your account and see if the $100 dollars credit is there.

I am one of the 4 so far. When I called Verizon 3 times about this last night I got 3 different answers... (1) Radio Shack "CAN'T" give the buy back 100, then (2) Verizon store is the prefeard way but outside stores like Radio can give it if they want and are one of the RS's that do give it, and (3) Have no idea but we will document your record that if RS does it they will give it to you if they don't bring it back and we will give it to you once we get the phone on 8/11.

well like I said in my last reply to this. When I called on 7/30 to find out one of the RS in my area had the phone I had them hold it for me and I called Verizon to see if they could change my buy back date from 9/11 to 7/30 because I wanted this phone... Lady was very nice she told me she had to put me on hold to talk to her supervisor and that it would be 1 minute. Well she came back and said that since I was such a good customer they where going to OK that and she was going to document my account and RS would be able to give me the $100 buy back twords my V710... When I got the phone they gave me $200 off plus the $75 refund (still haven't cut the box THANK GOD) didn't think anything of that till yesterday 8/4 when I was reading a post...
