QNC worked - once

All, I somehow managed to get QNC working on the V710 via my Clie UX50 last night. The problem is, using the same profile I couldn't duplicate it! After I connected once successfully (I got the little 0101010 circle icon on the display) and disconnected, when I tried it again the phone switched back to packet data on the next try.

All I know is that I was mucking with:

Connect to [modem/PC/phone]
Flow control
modem speed
added AT&C2 to the init strings (already had at$qcmdr=2 and at$qcqnc=1 in there)

Something among that combination made it work just once. So there's hope for people that don't have National Access, but it's not solid yet.

Are you sure about those strings? In my PocketPC, not using any strings was the key to getting it to work.

What user name and password are you using?

You have National Access or qnc working? I was using "qnc/qnc". But normally when I connect with #777 I get "Packet Data", not circuit switched 19.2. I'm concerned what will happen if I'm not in a 1x area and I try to connect with my standard 1x settings.

Try changing your user name to @vzw3g.com (use your 10-digit phone #)
Password to vzw

That's how I get onto National Access. Are you sure you're getting circuit switched data (14.4k) and not 1x?
