New Phone to be my v710 successor

Well, 2 weeks into owning my combo setup: a V710 and a Dell Axim X30 (with Bluetooth) I am now bored. The combo replaced my 1yr old Samsung i700 PPC phone that was slow in speed, only had PPC2002 until now, and didnt have wifi or bluetooth.

Now with the XDA III approved for Verizon, I am getting back on the trail again to start savoring a new phone. I will enjoy this V710 for as long as it takes for the XDA III, but once it is out, it will be perfect!

But it probably won't since there always seems to be something missing

Yeah, smallness is what's missing from that phone.

I'll stick with a phone and a pocket PC as seperate items linked together wirelessly. The pocket PC/phonesa re way too cumbersome for me for when I just want to use a phone.

They weren't THAT visible, but if you looks close enough you'd see them. This was after about a week of having the phone. I decided to return it then after noticing the scratches since I didn't want RadioShack to say something about it...

It's a line of scratches about your camera, it happens every time you open the phone. See where the font makes contact with the other part of the phone? That's were you'll get some scratches ☹️

Well, any one with Bluetooth built in for a start (assuming you mean as a companion for the v710). I got an HP iPAQ 2215 last fall and have been patiently waiting for VZW to come out with a bluetooth enabled phone snce then. Yeah, the internet connection will be a snail (14.4kbs), but it's just for when needed etc. (and/or using the laptop/v710 combo when on trips etc)

The best deal going is a Dell Axim X30 with the fast processor option lists for $349, but always on sale at Dell for under $300. But even at $349 it blows away the HP competition.

It has 624 Mhz Processor, 802.11b wifi, bluetooth, SDIO slot, MP3 player, etc... alsohas Windows Mobile 2003 2nd edition. The 2nd edition allows you to view the screen in landscape mode. Really nice package altogether and has many tools that I love.

This Axim linked easily to my V710.

LOVE it!

I also have the Dell Axim X30 (624 Mhz) and considering the V710. Do you connect the two via bluetooth for snycronization or internet use on pda?

I have the same setup too, but have found that you can only use the bluetooth for an internet connection, not to transfer contact info. I could see where this might be a software update in the future, though.
