Are you trying to convert a song directly from the cd or from a mp3 file on the pc? it will only convert from a pc file on your pc not directly from the cd itself

ooooooooooo, I've never tried to convert songs from iTunes, try a song from your cd. use musicmatch or something to rip music from you cd to your pc. Then try creating the ringtone. iTunes must have put something on the file to keep you from coverting. Man, why would you pay iTunes when you can download what ever music you want for free?

BrianV-

Any songs you purchase thru iTunes, Napster, etc. are protected from what you are trying to do. These sites allow you a one time download onto your computer and that is it. Try using a mp3 that is not protected and see what happens. In iTunes go to edit>preferences>import using>mp3 encoder>setting>custom>stereo bit rate>64kbps>ok>ok. Next: file>add file to library>choose your location of the file>ok. The file is imported to your library. Right click on the file and choose get info (or control+i). New window opens then choose options. Click start time and stop time and enter the corresponding times that you want. Click ok. Make sure your target file is highlighted and right click on it to choose convert selection to mp3. A new mp3 ...

This did not work for me I made the file with I tunes, then Reg at VZWPIX.COM Then loged in and Sent the file to my phone. I got a Msg that said you have a New Pic go too www.vzwpix.com to view it. I never got the file. I then tryed to send it from my E-mail to (My number)@vzwpix.com. Again I got the same Mesg. Eather this is some kind of scam to get us to send Mesg to our selfs or Im doing something wrong. 🤭

I did that even thou Every budy has Pic Mesging on there acount eather you pay for a PKG or you get a .25 charge per Pic Mesg. They said you can't send Pix to your phone or any other file only if it comes from another VZW Pic Phone. This is incredibly stupid if it is true. This means you can't send a Pic to a friend from your PC to ther phone, even thou they show this in there Comercials. All I know is I tried this and it will not go to the phone it will only got too the VZWPIX.com Site. And VZW claims the only way to send a file to a Phone is if it comes from another phone. All I want to know is wich is the truth because several people hear claim to have done it by E-mailing it too them selves at (My Number)@vzwpix.com or up;oading it...

I have emailed them to myself as well and it cost me .25 cents every time. I was reading the other posts and apparently VZWpix is down nationwide right now. What do you have your bitrate set at on the mp3's? Mine were 64kbps for 30 seconds and it worked fine. The last time I sent one was last week, though. I will try right now and see what happens.

Hey Road-Roach Thanx for the help the other nigt!! You were Dead on i called VZW in the Morning and asked them to give me Pic Mesg pay per use no PKG, the rep says ok a few min latter she says Im all set. 5min latter I send my converted MP3 Ringtone and Wham i have a .25cent ring tone on my phone that sounds AWSOME!! I have sense sent a few others and play to send more, this is a great featuer about the phone because I can avoid the crapy GIN Tones and Pics. As for Wall papper I did some reserch, my gues would be too keep the files under 100kb althou i have sent nothing bigger then 30 so far, the bigest Res I have used is 176x220 like the samples that come with the phone. When I experiment more with Pic Ill post my results.
