I have the RS one, and I only get output on the right channel. Either I have a bad connection or it needs more than a straight stereo headphone pass-through.

i got one at rs also. if its like mine its actually not a 2.5mm but somthing like a 2/32 . if you pull the adapter out about 1/8 of an inch you will be able to hear stereo. a pain but it works until somthing better is found.

brilliant idea...I'm going to post this on Howard forums, I don't recall seeing it before...I was ready to throw out my little RS adapter and was pretty skeptical till I read your post.
I plugged my Noise Canceling AIWA headphones in(which boost the input as well as cancel outside noise) and the sound on the little mp3 clip that came on the phone was awesome.
I havent gotten my transflash working for other downloads yet.
thanks again

does it feel shakey pull the adapter out, also do you know part number or anything on it? how much was it?

this is a temp solution. It's liable to come out or cause static..go to howard forums to the mp3 headphone thread you can order special hard to find cables.
fyi the RS is 274-373 stereo to stereo adapter. about 5.00
again it's intended for headphone jacks only, whereas the telephone is a headphone/microphone jack.
