Which is better...the HS810 or HS820?

I'm thinking about getting the HS810.

Thanks.

The HS810 is my favorite. The mechanical operation of flipping the boom microphone to turn on/off the headset is really nice. The HS820 has only a button that you must press for three seconds to turn on/off the device each time.

The only downside, the HS810 is more expensive:
$69.99 at CC or BB, rather than $51.99 for the HS820 through Verizon.

810 is great. The fact that closing the boom shuts it off (and turns it on, real easy) is the first plus. The second is the boom itself, puts the mic closer to your mouth. The third is the lesser amount of wind noise than the 820.

Love mine.

I have both the 810 and the 820. I bought them both with the mentality of returning one.

I used each for one day and have decided that I prefer the 820 to the 810. I found the sound quality of the 820 to be much better than the 810. The 810 sounded mechanical and tinny. I have been using the 820 for several days with only positive feedback from people I've asked how I sound over it. Every person I talked to on the 810 was having trouble understanding me and commented on it. One person mentioned that it sounded like there was static ("it sounds like you have 1 bar"), I don't know if this was a bluetooth thing the phone was on my waist. With the 820 I have really had no problems. Cosmetically the 810 looks better but the boom seems ...

I don't know about the 810 but I have had great success with the 820. Everyone I talk to on the 820 has no idea they are on a headset. I haven't used the 810 and I don't think I will waste the money to get one (even though I like the boom mic). I only have one complaint about the 820 and its the volume. It's a little hard to hear while driving but repositioning helps.

i'm in the market for one... i was leaning towards the 810 because i thought the mic would make me feel like it was picking up my voice better but after your review you've persuaded me to reconsider the 820.

i have also been considering a brand not well know in the states called epox, they've gotten great reviews in europe, It has 2 buttons (I think control volume) on the headset and its capable of pairing with 4 different phones at the same time?? Not sure on the advantge of this.

I looked at the epox and I really didn't like the way it looked. Truth is, Verizon had the 820 in stock and I thought looked good so I bought it. No problems so far. Voice dial works great as long as you don't have your radio in your car up real load. Other than that, I'm impressed.

I considered both and went with 820. I wanted something smaller -- and my hunch is that the 820 since its newer, improves on certain problems with the 810 -- recent posts would support that. Motorola probably has a LOT of 810's still available and wants to unload them -- which is why their website gives you virtually no useful information to make a comparison.
