converting mp3's to midi's??

when i convert the mp3 to midi by just typing mid at the end of the file it doesnt play anything in my media player as well when i send it, it comes up as a txt file????

I haven't had to convert the .mp3 to .mid The V710 will play mp3 as ring tones if you put them on a transflash, move them to phone memory one at a time and then set them as ringers
