How do I shorten songs?

Any1 know how I can shorten songs and place them as a ringtone on my phone? I have the tflash card. I have some songs on itunes and im trying to set some of them as ringtones and it isn't working...please help me shorten the length and change the bit rate and all that jazz so i can set a song as a ringtone please...thanks 🙂

Get Goldwave sound editor. It's shareware. It's probably the best sound editor out there. It will let you cut music down, paste stuff together, change formats, etc.
