Half the time my banner says Verizon Wireless and half the time it has my personalized banner. Anybody else have this problem? 😕

I have found that it says Verizon Wireless for a set amount of time after you turn it on - then it changes to the personal banner. Or maybe it's everytime you open it. I just know my T720 was the same way

It alternates your banner and Verizon wirelesss, Extended Network, or Roaming as an added notice of what network you're on.

it all has to do with the roaming list. if its a non-eri banner you get your name permanently. if its if the other you flash between the two, i have heard that on some samsungs it alternates like every second, pretty annoying if u ask me.

Of course by now you realize it's not a "problem", but rather by design by Verizon. Personally, I hate it. For my banner I chose my name, so if I leave it somewhere by accident, should an honest person find it they'd immediately know who it belongs to. I left my old Timeport three times at work and my name on the banner saved me all three times.
I really cannot see VZW's logic in overiding the Banner setting to read "Verizon Wireless" half the time. I know they do it so you see who's network you are on (when roaming it might say T-Mobile etc), but they shou...
