Answering phone w/ hands free headset

Hey guys any way to answer the phone without opening it with the handsfree headset.... THanks

I haven't done it yet - but my headset says that if you push the primary button on the heasdset - it will answer.

I did notice that there is an "auto answer" function on the phone under the headset settings.... I'm not sure if this has to be on or not.... as I mentioned - I have not yet received an incoming call while using my headset.

you can answer the phone when the clamshell is closed with either the bluetooth or wired headset(if it has a answer/end call button)

It's not. They're talking about buttons on headsets. All bluetooth headsets have a multifunction button (sometimes referred to as a MFB) that can answer. Some wired headsets also have an answer/end button, though it doesn't always work on all phones - the mechanism to do it isn't 100% standardized, so a headset with a button from one mfr may or may not work with another mfr's phone.

I think what you might want, short of buying a wired headset with an answer/end button, is to enable "any key answer" somewhere in the menus (I have no idea where it is). This *might* allow the outside buttons to answer a call. However, keep in mind that Motorola designed this as a clamshell without any real keylock feature, so for the most part they assume th...

Do you mean answer with the speakerphone or with the bluetooth headset? from your other answers, it sounds like you mean the speakerphone, everyone else was referring to the bluetooth headset... of course. If you do mean the speakerphone, I couldn't find a way to answer it without opening the phone.
