Motorola V710

I'm trying to transfer a video from my computer to the phone via transflash. The video on my computer is in .mpg format. What file type do I need to change it to in order for it to play on the v710. It has shown up on the 710 but it just says playing and there is nothing playing and no sound. I have tried multiple formats as well. mp4, mpeg, 3g2, and some other ones. Please help. Also is there a maximum size that the videos can be? If so how do I condense the video size. Please help...thanks
