Not Displaying Caller ID

I noticed someone earlier posted that there caller id was not showing up when someone else called. Well somebody just called me and it did not display. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem or do I have a defective phone.

Caller id, believe it or not, is an enhanced feature. It will not work in all areas.

I live in D.C area so I have all the features. Plus I know its not based on the area because the caller id will show up in the same area and on another call it wont. Anybody else having the problem of the caller id not showing up or is it a defect.
