FM Radio Rocks!!!

I just got the FM radio accessory and it's amazing. So clear and loud!!! You can also set your preset for favorite station!!!

One cool feature that I didn't know it had was it doubles as a headset with a mic. One really really cool feature is that you can hit the button the mic and it does a voice recording without holding it down. You just press it record and press it again when your through recording. That is one feature that I really wanted on the 710. This phone can do so much!!! You just need to get the addition accessories to make it complete :-).

BTW the accessory # for the FM Stereo Radio Headset is 98310/SYN8609 for those who want to get one.

Yep it's made by Motorola and works on other motorola phones. I don't know why they didn't mention this as a feature on the 710... Maybe becuase it's not acually a feature but an add on to many moto phone. I bought it off Ebay so you can do a search there. I tried to find it on Verizon site but couldn't Just do a search for the model number in the previous post.

You wont find a proprietary internal part number on Google. To obtain this, you would need to call Moto at 8003316456 and order it.

I apparently got a defective FM radio headset. It only shows a "Radio" button about every 10-20 connections and when it does, it sometimes will only play static. When it does play though, it sounds great!

Try cleaning the connector at the bottom of the phone and the headset with a clean dry toothbrush or similar item. This is what we use in the shop. Sometimes small debris a can prevent a good connection...

Level 2, thanks for the suggestions. I tried it and it still does not display "Radio." Just a defective connector I suspect.

My only other Motorola is a Timport P8767--too old to fit this connector.

I am exchanging the cable for another--hopefully it will work.

My data cable connects just fine.

I agree. I have the FM radio and it does sound great. It works good for phone calls too, it stops the radio while you are in a phonecall.
