What are my options for email besides Mobile Web Hotmail/AOL?
Is there an email client that can be used for POP/IMAP?

I wrote to Motorola's support staff about this issue. Here's the response I received yesterday:
"Regarding your concern, the IMAP feature is available only through your service provider. To activate it please contact Verizon at 1-800-922-0204 where they will be able to assist you."
In other words, Verizon disabled it so they could force you to buy or rent a mail client from their Get It Now service.
Unbelievable.
