Mac vs. the Transflash

So upon recieving my transflash in the mail today I inserted it into my phone (powered on, no issue presented itself). Changed my storage directories to my mmc card. Put the card into the new SanDisk 8in1 and put an mp3 into the shared/audio folder. Back in my phone (powered on), selecting "sounds" icon results in a sort of non-reaction/freeze. Nothing happens but I can't move the cursor around and the quick animation of the music note occures intermitently. If I press the end call button the phone goes back to the main menu. I have read the faq on transflash cards and tried everything that way with the same results. On a strange note, powering off the phone with the flash in sometimes results in a freezing of the goodbye image of the flower...

Damn. i was gonna suggest getting rid of those pesky hidden OSX files but you already did that with the iClean. I have yet to try using the transflash on my PowerPook for this reason (and the fact that my 6 gig HD does not hold anything i want to transfer). When i fully switch over to Mac this might present a problem. I don't want to have to keep a PC around just for this phone. When BT File transfer comes around it should fix this issue, right?

Thanks for all the advice, I finally figured out my issue. It did have to do with the hidden files, most specifically, the .Trash files. Every time you write to the card new .trash and .ds_store files reappear and I must erase them. I found a tool called File Buddy (from the help of a mac user on

File buddy is a great application which allows one to view all files, shown and hidden, and delete them. It also allows one to move files, rename suffixes and much more (highly recommended)

Now I can honestly say that this phone is amazing and I love it.
