Does Verizon take back scratched phones?
I've dropped my phone once so far, pretty badly actually (long story short, the car door was open, it fell, however, the car was barelly moving) The phone now has a bunch of scratches, two on the front, one on the right side, and the biggest one, a chip on the top left corner. I am still under my 15 day worry free guarentee. Can I return the phone and tell the guy it wasn't durable enough or something? I don't want to be cheap or anything, but It doesn't look as good with a big scratch in it and I don't want to pay the $50 deductible with insurance to get a new phone.

yup you can i did the same thing. i scratched it on the battery cover and on the screen pretty bad. i was within my 1 day warranty so i took it bak and told the dude at vzw it was defective and that there were jus a whole bunch of problems w/it.He went in the bak and got me a fresh one. 😛

yes, just tell the sales clerk the phone is defective (blanks out with white screen is the best thing to say - if this really does happen to your cell it means the sales clerk did not activate your cell correctly - not a defect with the cell but they will have to give you a new cell anyway) and that it freezes up and they will give you another one. People do it all the time. I had a friend that worked at VZW in the technical dept (well they are not real techs but they are allowed to portray themselves as them which is ironic) and he told me TONS of people bring in scratched up brand new phones to get a new one. They know but they CAN NOT refuse you a new phone unless its something outrageous. Go in there and get another one.

as far as the insurance,i have used it twice.no problems either time. i have it on my phone and my sons phone.both times were for damage.on mine i broke the external screen on my 720. my Son dropped his and it came apart.on his phone ,which was the latest ,i called them at about 5:30 at night and the phone was delivered the next morning by fed ex???????? don't know how they did that but it was pretty cool.i think its worth 5 bucks a month not to have to worry about your phone. 😎 😁
