First off, try to ensure your mouth is at least 8" away from the mic of the speaker.

Next, always speak clearly and pronounce each syllable. I know this sounds (no pun intended) like a "duh", but what I mean is try to pronounce it at least somewhat like the phone itself does. Not sure if you know this but you can tweak your phone's settings and then actually listen to the phone pronounce each name in your phone book as you scroll through it. Turn on your speakerphone ON the phone when doing this and have the HF800 off. I cannot recall exactly what...
