Does this phone suck that bad?
I'm looking to upgrade from my v60c with NE2. I just want a nice tri-mode phone, doesn't have to be fancy...is this phone ok, or just wait for something better around xmas?

Depends what you want in a phone. If you could not care less about bluetooth or a camera, there might be better alternatives in the VZW family. Do your research on this phone here and on other forums. Decide what features it offers are important to you. Read the user reviews here and be certain to realize which are mostly BS (complaints due to over expectations...like people thinking 1.2 megapixel means "better". It just means larger). If you buy it, you always have 15 days to decide if you want to keep it.

I love this phone! Reception is great, the bluetooth headset and voice dial are amzing. The camera is ok not great. I had a v60 and think it's a far better phone. I also had a LG4400 and this gets signal in places the LG wouldn't. No phone is perfect but I am having a hard time understanding some peoples complaints. If you do decide to try it, I'm sure you'll keep it.

its great for me - even my buddy who bought an LG7000 exchanged his for the v710.
