Programming Menu

Highly Programmable - As with most Motorola phones, there is a lot of room to hack settings. The v710 has a secret programming menu (accessible via Menu + 0 + 73887 + *) allowing you to tweak many settings and even enter test mode, which provides - among other things - some GPS diagnostics. If you happen to have a copy of the Motorola PST, you can do a lot of serious programming on the phone.

How do you get inot this? DO you actually press Menu then 0 then 73887 then *? That didn't work. Any ideas?

Be warned, you can easily screw over your phone and Verizon WILL NOT be reasonable for it. I hope to God no one in the vicinity of my store do this.

😉 But Mr. tech I didn't do anything. I just turned it on and it was like that. Honest! 😉
(Does it sound like I have been in the service industry for 30+ years? I've heard it all!)

People cannot just use the phone and enjoy it...

There is nothing in test or programing mode that anyone can do wihtout proper training and documentation. I wont warranty any such repair in my shop and neither will Verizon because at the end of the day, Moto will not reimburse the claim.

Shop labor is $85 per hour, plus parts. Have a great time...

😉 But ...But...Level 2 I didn't do anything. I never even heard of "Programming menu". Honest I just turned the phone on and it did it all by itself. Honest, would I lie? 😉

$85. If I was a prick I'd give the information out everywhere and buy a new boat on the earnings next spring. 😎
