Regarding your inquiry,currently the Motorola V710 phone distributed in North America does not support Mobile Phone Tools over a Bluetooth connection. A solution will be available by November 2004. Motorola has not identified any other issues for the time being.

A few months ago, I was assured by a VZ store person that the reason for the V710 not appearing amidst all the buzz, was that VZ never puts out a new technology without having it ready to roll. It was as if the company policy was a perfectionist one. Yet they still put the phone out without the advertised functionality and now the firmware is scheduled to be out in November. This of course recalls last year's bungling by MOT of the holiday camera phone non-arrival. Are they about to do it again with the firmware? In any case the launch is less than satisfactory ...
