Voice Note question...

Hey guys. I'm a long-time reader, but this is my first post on this board. I've read a lot on this and other forums, but I haven't seen any mention of the voice note feature at all.

I had the T730/720 for a while and used the voice note feature all the time, both with and without my Jabra bluetooth headset (with adapter). I'm good at forgetting things, so the voice note feature was very handy. The V710 also has the voice note feature, I think they call it voice record, which I've used, but I do have a problem trying to leave a voice note through my head set. I had the Jabra 200 with adapter for my T730, but I now have the 250 for my V710.

Anyway... here's the problem. If I leave the voice note through the headset, when I go to ...

I just opened the mic on my HS810 pressed and held the voice note button (I didn't even open the phone) I spoke, released the voice note button, opened the phone saw my message, selected it and it played perfectly.

Good luck

Thanks for all the help guys. I think maybe it's the Jabra. Maybe the microphone doesn't activate unless you're actually in a call. But then again, that shouldn't operate like that because the headset isn't just for cellular phone conversations.

Can somebody out there try entering a voice note through a Jabra. Need to know if it's the phone, the headset, or if maybe that's just the way things are.

Appreciate all the help.

Mine works ok.....

again, you have to hold the voice reocord button throughout. don't forget to save it using the menu.

Contrary to another post, there's no way to let go of the button and keep recording

unfortunately as mentioned previously, they've only allowed 2 minutes of all the memory on this phone for voice notes....which means you need keep erasing old ones. As far as I know, there's no way to xfer these to a pc or send them
