Cover clicks

I recall reading posts a while back about whether or not the phone hinge should click when it's opened and closed. Some people said their phone clicked, and others insisted that their phone was absoltutely silent. My V710 has a very distinct click whenever it is opened or closed. It doesn't bother me, but is there any reason for me to be concerned. I've got 3 days left before my return period expires.

I'd exchange it. Mine is absolutely silent. It means something is wrong with yours and it's liable to only get worse and/or lead to a breakdown in something in that part of the phone.

Case in point. While it certainly is not new, my former phone was a Moto Timeport P8767. Last spring it started to "click" when opening/closing and now it does not close tight when closed. It's a little loosey/goosey.

Exchange your phone is my advice.

Thanks for the advice. The people at the Verizon store are probably going to insist that the click is normal. However, I noticed that their V710 on display does not click. Hopefully, I can convince them that the click is not normal and may lead to future problems.

It is normal... mine does it... and so do others I know. You can only hear it in a completely quiet environment. Don't worry about it.

Okay, good. As long as I know that mine's not the only phone that does it.

I had that same TimePort and it clicked up a storm, from the beginning. My v60 did too. The click is normal on Moto phones. Don't worry.
