Ear-peice volume adjustment did not work?

I tried the method of increasing the earpeice volume metioned in this link - http://www.nuclearelephant.com/papers/v710.ht ml
to no avail. I did every step and the proceedure seemed to be right - but after I changed it - I noticed no difference. Anyone else tried this method and had any success?

I tried it too - did nothing.

I did however return the phone and get a new one with a slightly louder earpiece.

It's definitely better than my old one - but still not loud enough.

PLEASE CALL MOTOROLA!!!! TELL THEM!!!
