Well thats nice that there is a hack.. but that would be ridiculous to do everytime u want to talk on speakerphone... oh well hopefully there will be a hack that will make it permanent with flip closed... like as an option or something.

That's ok w/me. people hate when I talk to them on any speakerphone... I use it mostly when in the car to check voice mails, other voice messages, traffic reports etc

besides, I'll bet that the little mike hole will still back up voice w/phone closed

This doesnt do miracles but for me my phone was just a TAD to quiet and this helped. (not solved but helped)

First, to enter the opcode screen, press Menu + 048263 + *. This will bring you to a box prompting you for an opcode. Before you can enter any codes, it will be necessary to suspend the phone. To do this, enter 54* and press OK. The display will go black and the phone will be suspended. Press the camera button on the outside of your phone to turn the backlight back on. You should see "SUCCESS" on the screen. Go back and then you can enter whatever opcodes you like.

The one that is useful is this one....

5*0*15 Set audio level 15 so just type in 5 star 0 star 15 and enter and then back back etc

To get to the opcode screen you press Menu + 048263 + *? What does that mean? I have no idea what I am doing. I push the Menu button on the phone and then enter the code? Help Please!

Pretty easy to do though and its a minor fix for something thats really horrible. If you got any other questions just post i got it to work on my phone

>>press menu then press 048263 star....

When I try the above I wind up in the Get IT Now screen.

Can anyone confirm where is this menu key? The manual lists the menu key as the top center key between the soft keys and that is what I'm pressing but no luck.

I'd really like even a bit more volume in the ear piece.
Thanks

the number in which it can go up wont change the phone is limited to a max volume of "7" however this number is completely aribtary.... think of the number you changed in the op codes as a multiplier..... so if you were at 10 (default) that give you 7x1.0 = 7 volume. However if you change it via op codes it will change it to 15 making it 7x1.5=10.5

As for your problem yes the mnu key is the center one. Ad make sure you press zero (it is the first key stroke) because 4 WILL send you to get it now which you do not want...

Also the volume will nto be drasitcally better however i was driving the last two days on the freeway and previous days i was struggling to hear because of road noise and this helped alieveiate the problem.
