does playing mp3s kill the battery? i havent dont it yet but i was wondering if playing mp3s would make the battery die really quick...if so, is there even a point to being able to play mp3s? (besides ringtones)

I'd say it kills less of the battery than using the phone or using the screen. Very little energy involved compared to radio signal or lcd.

The point for being able to play mp3's I thought was to listen to music, if you either don't have a real mp3 player, or left it home and have your phone.

I'm 100% satisfied w/how it works. My playlists work well, as long as you dont start opening and closing phone. Sound is fine

Only draw back is that I could only fit 3 45 minute albums, on the transflash card....so it's not very cost efficient. I don't know if any larger capacity cards are planned.

So this is no i-pod...but another utility....
