HS810 Problem

MNcall

Aug 26, 2004, 9:53 AM
I have the HS810 BT headset and have a problem. When I am talking to someone on it they say that when they talk they can hear an echo of themselves. If I go back to the phone it goes away. I tried this on my home phone and they are right. If I turn the headset volume down it is not as noticable, but then I have a hard time hearing them. It gets to be annoying for people I am calling. It's wierd because they sound perfect to me. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it just be a defective headset?

Try adjusting the handset volume controls in addition to the HS810 volume controls. Maybe a long shot, but someone I've always found a way to reduce echo (which I've experienced on every BT headset I've ever used at one time or another).

Sometimes (rarely) they complain of an echo. I think I read a post about the mic touching you face causes problems. My mic usually is about 1/8th an inch from my cheek and occasionally touches.
