if you really think about it you cant put MP3's on the phone..only midi files, so in fact motorola lied when saying it was an "mp3 player"..anyone have any thoughts on this subject

Please do not be so smug. Tell me how? I just bought the phone yesterday. I have been awaiting the damn thing for six months. If I cannot figure it out I'm returning it for a refund. Too damned expensive not to be user friendly.

you can rename the extentension to .mid instead of .mp3 if you're on a PC. keep the file about 350kb max or so and send it as a pix message. aside from that TFlash is the only way. dunno about the skip problem. i'd take the phone back and have them exchange it if this continues. unless your bitrate is far too high on the mp3. i've only tried a max of 160. any comments on bitrate effecting playability?

Nope, I max my bitrate at 64k, it's a cell fon, not much fidelity to hear anyway. on the TF card, you do not have to chg the ext. but on the fon you do for ringtones and such
