Calendar Lunacy
This is to report a bug in your calendar program. I am not looking for you to change this phone's functionality, just correct something the works improperly
1. go onto any day on the calendar, say sept 11
2. click new, add an appointment that starts at 9 am
3. for duration click "ALL DAY".
the result is you now have all day appointments on Sept 11 AND Sept 12.
Ok, so as a work around, you figure,
1. go into September 11
2. Do not enter a start time
3.For duration click "all day"
The good news is you only have an appointment for Sept 11.
The really bad news is when you go into "WEEK VIEW" you have absolutely nothing blocked out.
IOW, the quick way of m...

All that is happening when you choose "all day" is that it sets the apointment for 24 hours from the starting point. So if you choose "all day" for one that starts at say, 10am, it stretches to and ends at 10am the next day. That's all. It's even clear on the "week" function when you choose to look at the week.

For crying out loud, ANALYSE the "problem" before spouting about that there's a bug. it is NOT a bug.

I meant to add that while you said it is not blocked out on the Week View" it clearly is on mine. I suspect it is on yours too and you just didn't "see" it.

I'll admit though that a full 24 hour appointment is rarely what someone means by "all day". Then again, I think a rest-of-the-day "all day" is somewhat rare too, in the truest sense of the term. (i.e until midnight)
Probably a better choice for this would be to have tw...

Well on my wife's LG it works as it should "All Day" means all day for just that day and not a 24-hour period.
It might not be a bug, but another feature that Moto QC never looked at.
I hear ya, but when does "all day" end? Evening? 8pm? 10pm? Midnight? If midnight, why midnight, just because someone 800 years ago chose 11:59pm to mean the end of the day?
To everyone "all day" means something a little different. I am 100% certain that if choosing "all day" on this phone took it to midnight of that day, someone would beef about it here.
Just accept it as it is and not an oversight or a flaw, it means 24-hours on this phone. It's as simple as that.

TOday is friday. Friday ends at midnight on my planet, how about yours?
24 hours would go into the next day since we are talking a CARDINAL NUMBER....you start counting.

Sorry, but “all day” means whatever it means to any particular person. Suppose you scheduled in an event in the calendar that started at 9pm? (I have already). Would you call it “all night”? “All evening”?
I’m not being a wise-guy here, just pointing out that this is NOT a bug as you reported it, it’s just a 24 hour window when you choose that option. To complain that it should just “go to midnight” makes zero sense, as it is not realistic.
I mean, think about it....
