So Verizon’s excuse for not making it possible to use the built-in Bluetooth on their new Motorola V710 cameraphone to transfer files over to or sync with a PC? That it’s a "fraud prevention" tactic to keep hackers from Bluejacking your phone. We’re sure they’re telling the truth and that it has nothing to do with making money off of subscribers by charging them extra to email photos rather than just copy them directly to a PC.

You can still use the TF card, so that is a lame excuse.

There is one buit in on my pc, most new pc's come with 8 in 1. if you don't have a ready, the 8 in 1 are resonably priced.

Are we sure this is coming from verizon and not just techs in there stores giving us what they think?

I wrote moto asking about the blue-tooth and they said that they are working on fixing this by nov. So does anyone have a press release from verizon that says that they are not going to enable full blue-tooth so I can go back to moto and say you told me a lie???? please post the link thanks

No...but why do you need one? there's the SD adapter that comes with the card. the TF is so small i think it would have issues going into a conventional reader anyway.

yes, the adapter is so you can insert in a ready, if you have a ready, you don't need anything else

Such a well anticipated phone and they clearly did not have good testers and they made a bad decision with this bluetooth thing. It should have worked properly from the start.

Big blow to their image and just hurts their continued poor reputation as NOT having the best quality/newest phones.

Yes, they have good coverage, but others are catching up in that area and I'm getting ready to switch service providers.

I 100% agree that the testing needed was not done. As for the blue-tooth thing I have not seen anything by verizon that say they are the ones that did this to the blue-tooth. When I wrote moto they said they are working on a fix so. there may be more to the story then store tech are told to tell. but there is alot wrong with the phones software but I hope it gets worked out to make it a great phone. it was just not ready for release. left the nest before it could fly.
