MP3 PLAYBACK PROBLEMS - WHAT I FOUND AT THE GYM

Here it goes:

I'm using a full transflash and 45 minute playlist at 128 kb. No problems.
Playback through a generic stereo headphone w/4 pole adapter.

I go to the gym, load my playlist, hit "hide" and shut the clamshell.

Being the considerate guy I am, I don't want a ringing phone to distract my fellow excercisers, so I change the ring mode from "Vibrate& Ring" to just Vibrate.

Guess what? after one song, the music dies.
Same for setting the phone on "Silent"

Don't ask why it's like this....maybe it isnt if you use the official 24.00 moto headphone/mics...

Don't know if this is cause of any of your problems, but figured it might be useful info

You are correct. I don't know why the phone does that but it should be added to the known 'bugs' list.

I'm still not able to play more than 3 songs in a row before the playlist stops. Ringer is on 'loud'.

I've resampled all my mp3's to 128kb using Itunes.

Any ideas how you got yours to play the entire playlist?

no, I'm not questionning something that goes right. I converted my cd to mp3 using Roxio cd creator. Stored them on the flash, and created the playlist on the phone.

I can just say that once your playlist is playing...don't futz with the phone...don't open it, close it or press any buttons.don't even breath on it!...anything you do, seems to throw it for a loop

Again, my guess is they want this to be a phone first and an mp3 player second. They tacked on the mp3 and didnt think that turning off the phone ringer shouldnt turn off the mp3...
