Hide Camera Lens
After a week with this phone I'm pretty much satisfied. I didn't buy it to be a camera and I'm disappointed Bluetooth isn't fully functional but I'll be keeping the phone.
I'd like to get one for my wife but she works for a defense contractor and camera phones aren't allowed. Do you think it's possible/probable that Motorola would make an interchangeable cover plate that would remove the silver camera lens bezel and cover it over?
By the way, I installed MPT last night and spent over an hour getting it to sync up with the phone. Took two liveupdates to get it working. Motorola's web site should have contained some type of FAQ on getting this software to work with MPT.

Probably wouldn't pass the security guards.
Seems like it wouldn't be too hard for Motorola to make a cover similar to the interchangeable covers for the v600, except providing no lens/hole for the camera ccd. Just cover up the ccd. Although if security what type of pictures the v710 take indoors they wouldn't worry about it. 🙂
If manufacturers keep adding cameras to higher end phones users are going to have problems finding a decent phone they can take to work. I don't think it will be long before mainstream businesses (other than defense contractors) start banning camera phones.
