put it in the shared/sounds folder...make sure your file name is not too long or it won't show up in your phone. 😁

sorry i don't use aim.

you should have formatted the tf in your phone before using it. it should have created multiple sub folders. there is a share folder with a sub-folder for audio and video. the mp3 should be placed in th audio folder.

128 should be about right ,most of mine are and i. got 31 on the card. to make a ring tone you just have to copy it over to your phones memory, then apply as a ring tone. it would be a good idea to cut the mp3 down to about 30 sec to save room, but its not necessary. 😁

128 Kbps. I honestly think thats too high. Most songs will play fine at 96 Kbps. You can lower the bitrate (thats what the amount of Kbps is) using most music programs (iTunes, Musicmatch Jukebox,) or other programs.

I've read that using too much of the phone's primary memory can cause problems. How much is too much or how much can I use? How many ring tones will that accommodate on top of all the pre-stored stuff (nonremoveable photos, wall papers, etc.)?

I realize I can switch stuff on and off from the TF but I still would like to know how many assignable mp3 (at 30 secs/ea.) ringers I can store.
Thanks.

Thanks, how many mp3 ring tones do you have stored and assigned?

have you tried any of the posted "hacks" for deleting the non-deleteable pictures? Or, have you simply stored ringers on top of whatever came with the phone? Do you have anything else stored in perm memory (like pictures) or did you fill it up with ringers, games, etc.?

Thanks again.
