Bluetooth computer connectivity
I have successfully paired my computer and phone, but now I can't figure out how to transfer mp3 files - for that matter, I can't figure out how to transfer anything between the two, and can't find any instructions on any of the site or in the manuals. Does anyone have any advice?

V710 doesn't have OBEX capabilities, so you can't transfer files between your phone and computer.
You can however do dial-up networking - except now you don't have to use the data cable anymore.
Hopefully we'll see OBEX capability soon!

That's funny, because I was told you can synch your Outlook calendar and contacts - that was one of the main reasons I bought it. Looks like I may have to to return it and get the TREO.

I have purchased the V710 for the computer connection and BlueTooth. The main reason that I have not returned the phone is: BT since I had BT installed in my car waiting for the phone. The Treo is a good alternative.
An iPack with BT capability is an alternative for File transfer to the V710....Perhaps?!
I am waiting for a firmware update from motorola to synch my PB using iSynch since Apple declared it to work with the phone. That has not happened yet... 🙄

You can use iSynch with the data cable. I have one left over from my t720, but no BT synching yet.

Funny, I use iSync with my v710 regularly. Yes, it's via a dumb USB cable rather than cool Bluetooth, but it still works fine.

Check the Software Updates on your Mac. iSync 1.5 came out a couple weeks ago and allows for basic synching features provided you use the USB cable.
It's a limted sync (no Address Book photos, no iCal event description/location) but it works.
Of course, it would be great if it worked as previously described by Verizon and Motorola - via Bluethooth.
