V710 killers ! ! !

I have been following the V710 threads & discussions since before the V710 was released. I was looking for a high-end phone with bluetooth and some limited PDA functionality (PIM type stuff, calendar, appointments, contacts, etc.)

The V710 seemed to be just the ticket and I waited for it... My bad! As we all know now, Verizon "crippled" the bluetooth by leaving the file transfer functions out and limiting it to headset operations... This according to the salespeople I talked to at Verizon. Of course, Motorola is not blameless in this and I noticed that the keypad was falling off of the demo model in the store. Talk about horrible build quality (what were you thinking Moto?). The sales guy went with the line that "the strap is too t...

But it IS because the strap is too tight. It presses in the sides causing the keypad to buckle. YOu said none of the other phones had that problem there. Well, NONE of the other phones have that kind of keypad.

It does not take much inward pressure to put the edges of the phone up against the kepypad. Light finger pressure does it. So, constant and stron pressure is boud...
