help pairing Acura TL bluetooth
I saw where several people have been able to use the generic Acura TL instructions to pair their phones. I just got my phone and tried to pair, but with no luck. I have gone to Settings. Connection, Bluetooth link, Setup, and turned Power on, and then hit Find as to have the car discovery the phone using the Acura instructions, but nothing happens. Am I missing something?
Thanks....

I have paired the v710 with our 2004 Acura TL with no difficulty. Yes, you are missing something. First, carefully follow the instructions in the Acura Owners Manual to set up the Handsfree LinkTM and to set the passcode. Once that is done, Acura looks for the phone -- then repeat your sequence described in your message -- phone will then find the Handsfree LinkTM and request you to enter the passcode. Pairing will then be complete.

For those how have a TL-Bluetooth setup, how has your experience been?
I love it, however people constantly have a tough time hearing me. I end up screaming in the car......

Yes, Acura TL Bluetooth Handsfree LinkTM's internal volume setting is too low. I have the same problem even when communicating with the Handsfree LinkTM to set up the Phonebook. When you listen to yourself on Phonebook-List option, the entries are very low volume and noisy. Doesn't seem like the problem is with the v710 phone.

I didn't have any problem pairing the v710 to the TL, worked the first time and people I've called said they could hear me clearly. I've been able to receive calls and place calls with voice activation/recognition. As soon as I get into the car it automatically detects the v710 and links up. It's really nice. The only issue is that it does not pass information to the TL's dashboard display such as signal strength, roam status, battery level and incoming caller ID. Hopefully it will when the bluetooth firmware is updated on the v710. Another issue is when the v710 is paired with the TL I cannot connect to the internet via Bluetooth with my h4155 iPaq. This also happens when I pair my v710 to my Jabra 250 headset, it prevents the h4155 from co...
