Motorola V710

On what page of the manual does it explain the send options specifically?

Doing a search on the pdf of manual I can not find any note that it is even a option. and when talking with moto they did not even know how to get to the option but after taking to verizon for 2 hours showing tech how to get to the menu option they said that this is a know problem they are working on.

I take you have not tried doing this from your reply so you goto send a text message like you would to send it on a average message then when you get to the new message confirmation screen you hit menu key
this brings up message options menu.
with the "send later" option.

On all v series phones prior to the v710 that I've had my hands on (v120 c and e, v60 everything, t720 and t730) "send later" does nothing more than pitch it in the drafts folder, the purpose, as I was told by a vzw tech was so that you could compose your message in a non service area (or non prefereed area) and save it till you got to the home network... a delay function would be nice though...

If you look at the out box of your v710 when you do this it says sent to network and if you do it [email protected] it will send it to you that min not wait till the time that you set. So I know that this is sending to the verizon network

ok, they must have redesigned that feature on the 710, I haven't screwed around wiht an activated one yet, but thats coming soon...

I'll let you know what happens have a ticket open with moto and verizon. Wanted people to test on there phones so there would be more a push for fix but if no one uses it.

I used this all the time on my lg vx6000 and now I do not have it . I miss it so bad since I work 3rd shift and people hate getting there problem updates at 3am.
My friends sends me messages all the time with the sam a670 that are delayed from the day shift. I miss it.
