First, please ask them to activate the
Bluetooth features of Signal Strength, Battery Status, Coverage (1X digital or analog) and Roaming. Currently these are disabled in the v710 and hamper connection with the Handsfree LinkTM installed in the Acura TL. A Sony Bluetooth phone works much better than the v710 when paired with the Acura.

Second, please ask them to provide a setup provision to enable the phone ringer when paired with the HS820 headset. Incoming calls do not ring on the phone and are missed.

I realize you said this is with Moto people and not VZW people, however if somehow you can set into motion what is needed for Verizon Wireless to somehow provide v710 users with precise and accurate instructions on how to set up and use the v710 as a cell modem (at the 14.4kbs connection). Many people are struggling very badly with that one and it's one of the Bluetooth capabilities they are advertising the product about.

Thanks for doing this by the way!

I know it would probably be impossible to bring up all of the issues, but maybe you could, if you feel comfortable doing it, print out the entire thread and give them a copy so Moto can see exactly what people are having issues with.

I find that if I send pictures from my other cam phones to the v710 and I go to contacts and try to add a picture that if I flip though the picture if I do not let the pictures load fully that I will be told the pictures are curput do I want to delete. and power cycle the phone before I can view the pictures. But if I goto media and pictures and add them that way I have no problem. Is there a different viewer used. why would it work one way and not the other. I have been able to re-create the problem on anther v710

Also have a problem on the play list for mp3s getting a cupput message between songs saying that there are cruppt files that are not even in my play list do i want to delete them. Moto say this will be fixed before NOV. but I a...

Since you get a sort of texter id for text messages you can see who sent the message on the front screen. Are they ever going to enable the ring-tone id for text messages like you can for caller ID.
I know it not blue-tooth problem but it is on so many other phones it just yet anther let down on a great phone.

Yes -- Ask them who I need to bribe so they can make my phone ring while my BT headset is connected -- That's my #1 gripe!

They also need the indicator on the home screen set to let me know whether or not the BT is turned on -- It seems to only indicate when there is Bluetooth activity.

This isn't BT related, but are they going to make a cradle for this that will charge an extra battery?

Thanks! Go Get 'Em!

Yes, some help would be great re;
HS 820 and V710

Its been suggested that if you want to hear your PHONE ring, you go to your menu and hit "DROP" Headset from the phone, while keeping your HS820 in the ready mode.

THen, it's suggested that when the
phone rings, you hit the MFB on the headset to answer the call.

This rarely works for me.
Why? its impossible to figure out how long to hold the button and what beep sounds mean what.
Sometimes you're too late to get the call, sometimes you wind up
getting OBEy moto, occassionally,
if you do it just right, you get the call.

THe problem w/this HS is they base a lot on one button and a flashing blue light. The light does you no good if you really want to be handsfree and the HS i...

Great! I am having same problem. I am enjoying the BT headset, at the same time missing calls as it turns the ringer silent. I then turn phone on vibrate&Ring - which it does (vibrates but does not ring) even on BT headset. i.e, I always have to carry it to sense the call.I DO want it to ring, and its driving me nuts. Please let me know if there is an easy way to do this. I will really appreciate it.

Also, I have read people having no problems at 100 feet, mine starts the static at even 20 feet in the house. Is my phone defective?

Thanks,

Try what I mentioned and see how it works for you....

menu = Handsfree - click drop Motorola HS820.

make sure your headset is on in the ready mode.

Now the way it should work, is the phone rings...
you push the MFB just enough to get it to link to the phone, and talk....but if you push button too short or too long it doesnt work.

This is the only work around I know to have your phone ring and answer w/BT HS

I do understand what you are saying. However, dropping handsfree makes you disconnected. Essentially, by pressing MLB approximately 8 seconds reconnects you when it rings. I agree its a tedious process, and you have to time it right.

Please let us know if you find any other way.

I'm not able to leave myself a voice note through my Jabra 250 BT headset. It records for the duration I hold down the button, but it only records garbage, it's basically recording nothing. It's a little annoying because I use the voice note feature all the time and I have to drop my headset to do it.

Thank you. i like the Jabra much better than the moto i returned. I never tried the voice notes function through the moto, though, so I have no way of knowing if it's strictly a phone issue or if it's headset compatibility

Okay. Thanks for checking. I don't know why it would work with one and not the other. For some reason, the Jabra isn't activating its microphone. Now I just have to figure out if the phone isn't "telling" it to activate, or if the headset is lazy.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I know it's not a major issue, but could you still ask about it.

Thanks again
