Motorola V710

My phone had scratches where the 1,3,4,6,7,9,* and # keys hit the screen when I closed the clamshell. I've had the phone only 2.5 weeks. I looked at my girlfriends Sanyo and if you look at the closed clamshell you can see through the phone - it's stoppers work to keep the phone from getting scratched. The V710 has stoppers but they seem too small and dont do jack. I brought my phone to Verizon today and showed the tech. He played with thte phone for a minute and the disappered into the back for 30 minutes. He came out with a brand new phone. He told me however that this was a one shot deal.
