MP3 - Does it play songs?

I went to Radio Shack to inquire about the v710. Asked if it is a MP3 player and they said no. But, according to the site it is? What is the deal? I want the ability to play songs that I have downloaded from Napster. Can this be done?

You are not a nice person, Loser.

The Verizon site does not say anything about MP3:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller? ... »

Where as the Motorola site says it has an integrated MP3 player:

aparently. The full answer is that the phone can not play full length MP3s because there is only about 7.5MB free on the phone, and I'm not sure you can e-mail a full song to the phone. To listen to your full songs you have to buy a memory called transflash. to put the songs on and play them from. Please search the forum for many of your common questions.

Yes, the phone does play mp3's that you downloaded form Napster. You can either play them using the regular ring/speaker phone speaker or you can compatible headphones.

By the way, people like litobirdy should be banned from posting. They complain how this board is getting out of hand with too many posts, but they just go ahead and clutter the board those a55hole comments.

Yes it does play mp3s. Because of the limited internal memory you should probably pick up a transflash card to hold your songs. If you downloaded your songs from the original peer2peer napster you should be fine. If you have downloaded your songs from the new pay napster they will not play on this phone or any other one. The pay songs on napster are in windows media format with copy protection and I don't think any phone will play them. The only option with these is to burn them to a cd and then re-rip them to mp3.

It is a great mp3 player, but Napster isn't selling mp3s.

I stole my wife's stereo headset from her Motorola MPx200 and it sounds great! I have used it enough to attest that it is in true stereo.
