my previous 2 carriers att and spring would tell you what time VM was received does vz not have this as an option?

you may have timestamping turned off i the setup options..it's been so long since i set mine up, try going through the settings when you call in

thanks for the reply called my vm and went to admin. options but no time and date turn on or off

try calling verizon info *611 and ask a customer service rep what's up..they'll help you out..maybe they have to turn it on

There is a way to set it up so the voice reads the time before each message... but if you don't have it set up to do that, if you press "5" at any time during the message it will state the time and date information.

I've found when listening to a message, just press 5 at it will tell you when it was received and from what number.
