Page 93 of your manual

Menu, 8, 4

Allows you to record a voice note ... good for when you think of something on the fly and don't want to forget it.

I think with my old Moto V60 I was even able to record a phone conversation by holding down the button the right side of the phone ... that was great for when someone was giving you directions, or a phone number and could not write it down.

I just checked and if you have the phone open all you have to do is hold the voice command button down while you have the phone open and it will start recording.

Like I mentioned in the previous post regarding the V60 ... you can hold the button down DURING a phone call to record the conversation on the V710 also.

voice notes comes in handy right before you go out to drink... especially when you're in NYC, so you can record where you parked your car. then you don't have to wander around aimlessly looking to see where you left your car.
