MP3 Ringtones through a Bluetooth device

I have an HS-820 headset and an HF-800 speaker.

Everything was fine (sort of...) when I had a standard ring tone -- I used the "Notify" one. When I would get a call, and a device was connected, the device would ring (fairly loudly). Not ideal, but it worked.

I just switched to an MP3 ringtone. My speaker still chimes when I get an incoming call, but my headset only makes an almost-inperceptible "boop"-"boop"-"boop" sort of sound -- I can't hear it unless I know to listen for it.

Strange... As my speaker still makes a loud noise.

Has anyone else found this happens? Is it just my headset?

I've never read that a ringtone won't cause the headset to ring... Only that a connected headset causes the phone itself not to ring.

Sorry for being such a bother.
