Motorola V710

I have some great photos of Maui that I want to use as wallpaper, but most are over 1mb. I thought the phone would shrink them to use as wallpaper, but it says the file is too big.

What is the maximum size for wallpaper? I looked in the manual and can't seem to find anything relating to this issue.
