V710, Mobile Phone Tools, and Verizon Wireless!
😡 Well I picked up a new Motorola V710 phone with the Bluetooth headset. I was told at the time that I could download pictures and MP3's from and to the phone via USB cable and Bluetooth. They didn't have the data cable and software to do this though at the time I bought the phone. I ordered it from Motorola's website the next day. I was able to get Mobile Phone Tools to work after a day and half, but found out that there was no way to get the pictures etc. out of the phone with the USB or the Bluetooth. I should have checked here first I see. I see now how Verizon has crippled the phone's Bluetooth and file transfer abilities. Shame on Verizon and Motorola for doing/allowing this to happen. I don't know about other people, but they are lo...

I returned mine too. But then when I realized that it was the only phone that I could send mp3 files to and play as ring tones I went back to it. I can only hope that the complaints that have been placed by buyers as well as the ones that I have sent directly to the powers that be will help them get their act together! It is either many more of us protest with complaints or all return the units and let them fester in the defeat!

Wait a minute? You pissed at a PHONE company who you admit
a. didn't deceive you
b. never advertised or sold equipment to allow this
all over the fact that you can't transfer picture/songs to a phone!!! You pissed at the phone company over a toy!! Good luck w/ everyone else 🤣

The Verizon Wireless salesman at the Verizon store told me I could transfer pictures that I take for my work from the phone to my laptop using the USB cable or Bluetooth. This can not be done and that is one of the things I am "Pissed" about just to be clear.

You can do that with the Transflash 128 mb $33.99 at amazon in stock with free shipping. You need a SD reader/writer too and that allows you to transfer mp3s (and as ringtones, it is covered extensively in the forum - do a search. I already had the reader/writer - Lexar multi card also at amazon $26 - for my digi cam). You can also transfer pics, and wall paper this way. It is an extra expense but even if the BT worked, you would have had to purchase a BT card or adapter for your computer, unless you already have one.

Once you get the files over then there problems with the play-list. Yes I know they say they will fix the but when you buy something you think it would not need a fix for so many things. that being said I do like many things about the phone but people have every right to be disappointed there are many bugs.
