Does anyone know how to set the voicemail and pin number???

I tried setting the voice mail along with the pin number in the message setting, voice mail number, but it doesn't work. If i do not have a voice mail, this feature will automatically dial my pin number. However, when I actually do have a voice mail (WHICH IS WHEN I WOULD CALL MY VOICEMAIL BOX) it does not dial my pin number. Is there something that I'm not doing, or is this one of many feature that just doesn't work?

I have found that if you edit Speed Dial #1 whichi is preset by Verizon to *86 and labelled "Voicemail" to be your cell phone number followed by "pp[your pin]#" it will successfully login for you.

But this is ONLY when you press and hold the "1" button on the keypad. If you use "ObeyMeMoto" and say "Voicemail" it will just dial *86 and you can't change that.

By the way, I believe that *86 is considered to be a peak airtime applicable call, however, calling your cell phone number (which has the same result) is an IN-Network call. You do the math.

Are you SURE you can't change that?

Try this:

Menu
Messaging
Message settings
voicemail #
put in *86pp(pin#)

Now try saying "Voicemail" on "obeymemoto"

Thank you for your help. I was trying to avoid using a speed dail. I think that I'm discovering......I don't really like this phone.

I've also tried doing the below, but it only dails my pin if I don't have a voice mail, and dails *86 (no pin) when I do have a voicemail.

Menu
Messaging
Message settings
voicemail #
put in *86pp(pin#)

I just set this up.. Here is how I did it for the voice mail using "obeymemoto'.

Do as people have said above but..

use: *86pp#pxxxx Where xxxx = your password.

This allows the phone to connect to the voice mail server,(p) wait, (p)wait, (#)select option to access voicemail options as admin, (xxxx) your password.

I dont know if this is the same around the country, but in my home area I use this all the time (on my old samsung phone).
