Sending pics to your computer~

Why is it that when you send pictures you have taken on your v710 and send them to your computer (to an email address or to vzwpix.com) it comes out huge, unclear, and looking like ****?

Is there any way to fix this?

get photoshop (windows/mac) or gimp (*nix)...
