Motorola V710
Data cable (USB) charge too?
So we donβt have BT as yet but if you have to plug in the power cable to charge the phone anyway may as well plug in the moto USB data cable and sync at the same time.
Not so bad ! π
Each one has the receptical that will accept the plug from the standard charger. So you plug the USB cable into the computer and into the phone and it will not charge, but you can plug in the charger into the cable so it will charge while it's connected to the computer without having to take the sync cable out.
It's a small distinction, but if you are on a plane with your laptop and the USB sync cable, you will not be charging the phone with it. If you have it set up at your desk, and have the recharge plug plugged into the USB sync cable then it's not that big of a deal (that's how I have mine set up).
Any advice on the best cable? Want to sell one!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Martin.
If you search ebay for the motorola part number:
SKN6311
That's the one I bought. Technically mine is a SKN6311A but that search didn't come up with anything. But that one has a USB end, and the other end is the end that plugs into the phone. The end that plugs into the phone, has the receptical on the left side of that end that allows the charger to plug into it at an angle, it's not obvious in the pics, but that's the way it works.
The other one, I don't have on me but the recepticle for the charger is a plastic "pod" that is half way on the cable between the usb plug and the phone connect...

Is like the older style I have with the "pod" in the middle of the cable.
The power charger plugges into that pod to allow charging while syncing.
