I KNOW THIS HAS PROBABLY BEEN ANSWERED, BUT CAN YOU ASSIGN A PIC TO A CONTACT AND WHEN THEY CALL THE PIC WILL SHOW UP ON THE OUTSIDE SCREEN.

camera quality is NO better than the VGA on my vx 7000. I picked up the 710 just for mem card and cam and the cam is VERY disappointing.

The pictures are simply thumbnails. My guess is that they are so small cuz they have text on the screen as well to indicate who is calling. Not a good setup, as most people would prefer to simply see the picture. After all, we know who is in the picture if we set it up!
Pictures taken with the phone simply are too grainey and dark with the phone's camera. I took a digital image taken with my "real" digital camera at a high resolution and cropped it to just the head of the person in my contact book. Then using a graphics package, I scaled it to 320 x 200. I saved it as a jpg, but some other users have suggested gifs since the compression in a jpg can make the picture more grainy.
Anyway, the picture is pretty clear, although too sm...
